Although Buildertrend is a free app, Apple requires a valid debit or credit card on file with your Apple ID to download any app, free or paid..
Getting your team set up with the Buildertrend mobile app is an important first step that ensures everyone stays connected and productive, no matter where they are.
From the field to the office, your team can log Daily Logs, manage To-Do’s, track time, upload photos, and stay up to date on project changes in real time.
By using the mobile app, your crew reduces communication gaps, improves documentation, and keeps workflows moving without delays. It’s a powerful way to boost efficiency, accountability, and on-site coordination, all from the convenience of their phones.
Downloading the Mobile App
To download the mobile application, navigate to the App Store (iOS) or the Google Play Store (Android) and search for Buildertrend.
Select and install the application to get started.
Once the mobile app is downloaded, log into Buildertrend using your existing username and password.
Congratulations, you are now ready to use Buildertrend on-the-go!

Create a Customized Company Logo Shortcut
If you’ve uploaded your company logo to your Buildertrend account on the full site, you can add it as a custom shortcut icon on your mobile device’s home screen.
This creates a branded, professional look that reinforces your company’s identity every time you open the app.
More than just quick access, it shows clients that you use a tailored project management solution, helping you stand out, build trust, and win more jobs by demonstrating a commitment to transparency and professionalism.
Download Your Logo Shortcut for iPhone
From the Summary Page, select the More tab.
Next, scroll down to My Account and select Settings.
From Settings, click Add Shortcut To Home Screen.
This will open up your default mobile web browser.
Follow the prompt on your screen and select the Share option.
From within the sharing options, select the Add to Home Screen option.
Enter a label for the app, then click Add.
Your company's logo has now been added to your iPhone's home screen as a shortcut. This icon will now direct you to the Buildertrend mobile application, just like if you were to tap on the actual Buildertrend app.
Note: The Buildertrend app must remain installed on your iPhone for the shortcut to work.
While you can’t delete it, you can hide it from your home screen.
