Getting Paid with Buildertrend Payments

Receiving payments directly through Buildertrend Payments is quick and easy. When your builder sends a payment through our online system, you'll receive an email, enabling you to get paid in just a few steps.

To accept your payment, click Get Paid from the email notification.

Sign any outstanding Lien Waivers before payment can be accepted. The email will look like this.

Click Sign & Get Paid.

Click on the Lien Waiver that has a Pending status to sign it. Once signed, click Approve.

The Lien Waiver will now show as Accepted. Click Get Paid to choose how you'd like to receive your payment.

Once the Get Paid button is clicked, a window will appear with a few options to choose from.

E-checks are sent immediately. Deposit options depend on the subcontractor's choice:

  • Self-printed checks can be deposited immediately.

  • Mailed checks are sent via USPS and may take 3 to 14 days to arrive.

  • Buildertrend Wallet are sent within 3-5 days.

If you choose Print and deposit, the below window will appear once the check is ready.

Click Finish.

Buildertrend will show you a sample of the check on your screen. To continue with the printing process, click Print Check.

If you choose Mail Check, Buildertrend will again show you a sample of the check. To move forward with the mailing process, click Next.

Next, Buildertrend will ask for an address to mail the check to. Enter your address and click Confirm.

Buildertrend will now take you to a confirmation page. If all of the information looks correct, click Finish.

You will be able to see the tracking history of the mailed check.

You can review details of the mailed check request.
