Buildertrend's Sales Management Settings empowers you to create a seamless and efficient sales process tailored to your unique needs. Take control of your customized sales workflow and set the stage for success from the start.
Navigate to the Company Settings tab by selecting your initials in the top right corner to manage Sales Management settings.

Lead Activity Settings
To access and set these defaults, navigate to your Company Settings tab.
Next, click on Sales.
Default Lead Activity Calendar View controls the initial view upon accessing the activity calendar, with options to display the current Month, Week, or Day.
Lead Proposal Settings
Proposal Worksheet Settings enables the selection of areas to display on the Worksheet tab of the Lead Proposal by checking the corresponding boxes. Adjustments to the layout can be made effortlessly through drag-and-drop functionality.
Once a preferred proposal layout is found, set as the default layout to minimize redundancy.
Default Introductory Text field will allow you to create or copy/paste verbiage, automatically appear before the line items on Proposals and establishing a clear format every time.
The Default Title is adds another layer of detail, positioned below introductory text and above proposal line items.
Examples include Price Breakdown, Scope of Work, etc.
Default Closing Text operates similarly to Default Introductory Text, appearing at the bottom of the proposal, following all line items. This section typically covers inclusions and exclusions, terms and conditions, draw schedules, and more.
Default Release Text enables defaulting standard text, visible to your prospect upon releasing the Proposal. This typically includes approval instructions and serves as an ideal spot to provide additional contact information.
Proposal Disclaimer outlines what the client agrees to before approving a proposal through signing an electronic, legally binding signature via email. You can customize this by clicking "Change".
Creating Custom Fields
Lead Opportunity Custom Fields allows for you to add additional fields that are not standard to each Lead Opportunity.
Custom Fields can also be included in your Grid View settings, allowing you to customizing your reporting options.
Click Save to save any changes made to this page.
*Note: If updates have been made to the proposal layout, breakdown header, introductory text or closing text, this will not affect proposals that have already been created. These changes will only reflect on new proposals moving forward.
Manually Add The Buildertrend Contact Form to Your Website
Buildertrend's Contact Form can be seamlessly integrated into your current website, automatically sending their information from your form to Buildertrend as a new Lead Opportunity. You'll be notified by Buildertrend immediately, allowing you to quickly contact the new Lead for next steps.
To integrate Buildertrend's Contact Form into your website, navigate to the Sales header, and select Lead Opportunities.
Then, select Add Contact Form to Website.
While First and Last Name are mandatory fields to include in the Contact Form, any field can be added from the Lead Fields shown on the left.
Add a field to the form by clicking the 6 dots beside the desired field, then holding and finally dropping on the open area to the right.
Field order can be rearranged by clicking the same icon and moving the field up or down in the list.
A Custom Field may also be added to this list by clicking "Add" at the top of the fields list.
Complete the Custom Field with a Title, a Data Type, and any other options needed. Select Save when finished.
This will now be an available option for you to drag and drop into the Form Fields section, as shown above.
Click Installation Instructions to begin the process of adding it to your website.
The following pop-up window provides all the necessary information for entering the Contact Form code on your website manually or sharing it with your website administrator.
Once the Contact Form code has been added to your website and the website has been published, you will see the form in the section of your site.
Use the Contact Us button at the bottom of the Installation Instructions window if you have any issues or questions adding the Contact Form to your website.
