A Lead Opportunity can be converted to a Job at any time - it all depends on your process. Typically, once a Lead Proposal has been approved, you can go ahead and convert the Lead Opportunity to a Job.

To convert a Lead Opportunity to a Job, select the lead. Once the lead is selected, click the Convert to Job drop-down at the top.

When converting a Lead to a Job, there are three options:

  • New Job From Scratch

  • New Job From Template

  • Choose Existing Job

Selecting New Job From Scratch will allow you to copy existing lead information over to the job you're creating. If you'd like the Lead Proposal to be converted to the Job Estimate, make sure the Proposal checkboxes are selected.

Selecting New Job from Template will allow you to go through the same steps as the from-scratch option, but adds an additional step. With this process, you can select which template you would like to use when creating the job.

Selecting Choose Existing Job will allow you to merge a Lead with a Job that's already been created.

When converting a Lead to a Job, be sure to select the Proposal checkboxes if you would like the Lead Proposal information to populate on the Job Estimate. Doing so will help to eliminate double entry.
