  • Already have a set of Cost Codes that you would like to use? Reach out to your Account Executive. They will be able to upload your list and ensure it's organized properly.

Once you've created at least one Cost Category in the program, you will then be able to create Cost Codes. Similar to creating a Cost Category, you will navigate to the Setup page from the gear icon in the top right corner.

Click into Cost Codes from the Setup menu.

Once inside Cost Codes, look for the green New button and this time, select Cost Code.

From here you will give the code a title and assign it to the Cost Code Category that you want it organized under.

  • The more Cost Categories that are created, the more segmented and broken out your Budget will be for reporting purposes. This will help provide company owners a very clear understanding of where money was allocated and where money was spent with a high-level overview.

  • If you want your Budget to reflect your Cost Categories and Cost Codes in a specific order, utilize a numbering system to assign the correct order. The Budget will sort alphanumerically based on categories first, and the Cost Codes will sort the same way under each assigned category. 👇
