The scheduling feature in Buildertrend is a calendar & communication tool used by your Builder to provide timelines on one specific job or across all jobs. The Builder has the ability to assign a trade directly to a scheduled item to ensure everyone is on the same page with timelines.

To view your schedules, log into the Sub Portal to begin. You will see your list of jobs you have access to on the left of your screen.

Next, click the Project Management tab at the top, and click Schedule.

From here, you can view your schedule across all jobs. You can also view the schedule on a job-by-job basis by clicking on the job title in your jobs menu.

If the schedule shows as Offline, the builder has yet to share the calendar to their trades.

The Filter Your Results section, provides you the option to filter by only scheduled items that have been assigned to you, as opposed to the entire job schedule.

Each schedule can be viewed in a Calendar, List, or Gantt chart view, depending on personal preference. Workday Exceptions would be created by the Builder depending on Holiday schedules as well as weekend work.

By clicking on the specific scheduled item you have been assigned, you will have a few options.

First, you can Confirm or Decline the specific date of the scheduled item you have been assigned to alert your Builder.

You have the ability to make any comments or ask any questions to your Builder in a scheduled item.

Type in the Comments field, and click Send. This Comment will now be present on this specific scheduled item for continued communication.

The Create RFI tab, or Request For Information tab, allows for a more formal way to ask questions to your Builder.

This allows you to add in more detail to your questions or comments, set a due date for a Builder response, and allow you to provide attachments for the Builder as well.

Once all information is filled out, click Submit to send to the Builder.

You can view a running log of the RFI responses and their due dates on that scheduled item.

Mobile:

Trades will have access to the same schedule information from their mobile device utilizing the Buildertrend mobile app.

First, make sure you have the correct job selected from your list at the top.

Once the job is selected, click on Schedule.

The job title will be displayed at the top, with the Month, Agenda and List views of the schedule.

The Filters button will provide the option to filter by scheduled items that have been assigned directly to you, as opposed to the entire schedule.

Click on Filters, then click the Assigned To tab to see only scheduled items assigned to yourself. Once completed, click Apply Filters.

By clicking on a scheduled item you have been assigned you can view all details including workdays and the ability to comment directly to your Builder.

By scrolling down, you can add in an RFI on the scheduled item and also Confirm or Decline participation.
