Utilizing Buildertrends To-Do's with your Builder will ensure you communicate in full, any tasks that need to be done on a job site related to your trade.

The Builders you work with can assign To-Do's directly to you, or you will have the option to create a To-Do and use as a reminder system for yourself of your tasks on the job.

To begin, click the Project Management tab at the top, and select To-Do's.

You will be able to see all To-Do's that have been assigned to yourself from your Builder, along with the Priority and any Files attached.

You can click on the Title of the To-Do to view all important information.

You will be able to see the Due Date and Time along with any Checklist Items.

Checklist Items can be marked as complete by clicking the box next to each task once it has been completed.

Once all Checklist Items have been completed, click To-Do is Complete and then click Save. This will ensure a notification can be sent to the Builder once the To-Do has been completed.

To create a To-Do for yourself, click the New To-Do button.

This To-Do will be assigned to yourself. Update any important information needed for this specific To-Do.

You will also have the ability to Show the Builder or even hide the To-Do from the Builder at this time.

Once created, click Save.

The Filter Your Results section provides the ability to search by Keywords, Status, Priority, and Due Dates for your list of To-Do's.


Trades will have access to the same To-Do information from their mobile device utilizing the Buildertrend mobile app.

First, make sure you have the correct job selected from your list at the top.

Once the job is selected, click on To-Do's.

To create a new To-Do, click on the (+).

You can then update a To-Do specifically assigned to yourself.

Update all important information on the To-Do, and as a best practice, add in a Deadline to ensure the To-Do falls in line with the production schedule of your Builder.

Scrolling down, you can update any Reminders for the To-Do as well as add in Checklist Items.

You will have the same Filter options on the Buildertrend mobile app.
